How to do Head to Knee Pose _ JANU SIRSASANA _ LEVEL 1 _ Basic Yoga
This is a Yoga posture called «Head – knee» because the practitioner must crouch forward along a straight leg while the other leg shrinks.
Practicing good posture “Head – knee”, the practitioner can enjoy many benefits such as stretching the hamstrings, groin and spine; stimulating digestion and especially reducing blood pressure for high blood pressure.
Although this posture is called putting the head on the knee, but in fact letting the spine and lumbar muscle groups stretch well, we will try to put the head further, ie, placing the chest on the knee , put your head on the shin and finally put your forehead on the floor.
And, at “Level 1”, we only need to good practice techniques to push the pelvis and waist forward. Always hold your back straight and hold your head high. Try to relax the muscles in your lumbar and pelvic area. Absolutely do not rush to lower your back and bow your head forward to avoid damaging your spine and hindering deep and effective respiration.
