VAKRASANA, Sitting Twist _ The twisting of the spine has a relaxing effect, and a good preparation for the difficult exercise that follows. In addition, this posture could strengthen the spine, strengthen the muscles of the shoulders and back, eliminate excess adipose tissue of the lower body and stimulate digestion
This posture is not recommended if you have a back injury
The posture could be done as follows:
- Start with the Stick pose
- Put both hands on two thighs, meditate.
- Raise your hands in front of you – turn palms face to face – turn both hands to the right
- For a minimum of 1 minute, the left shoulder advances, the right shoulder recedes. As a result, both hands gradually met.
- Turn forward, put your hands on the thighs, pause in a few breaths in the lower abdomen.
- Do the same for the left
Repeat as many times as you like.
