- 天突, tiān tū – 任脉穴; 任脈
- cheon dol 천돌, ten totsu
“Tian” means the area above.
“Tu” refers to the fireplace.
The point has the effect of ventilating (through the chimney) helping the air from the lungs to get out better (Heaven Projection), so it is called Tiantu (Heaven Projection) (according to Cuongmuc Chinese Medicine).
Other Vietnamese names: Ngoc Ho, Thien Cu.

THERAPEUTIC ACTIONS:
- Dissolve phlegm
- Disinfect and clean the throat
- Cure voice loss
- Airflow in the lungs
INDICATIONS :
- Treat cough, difficulty breathing, wheezing, sudden loss of voice, hiccups
- Treat sore throats, granulomatous pharyngitis
- Treat a lot of phlegm in the neck
- Treat reverse qi, nausea, vomiting
- Treat bronchitis,
- Purify the qi in the heart.

TECHNICAL NOTES :
- Do not perform perpendicular needles as it is easy to prick the trachea causing coughing.
- Insert the needle through the skin 0.2-0.5 cun, then guide the needle along the posterior surface of the sternum 0.5-1 cun.
- Do not stimulate to “deqi” in place because there is a pulling sensation in the neck as if stuffy.
- Moxibustion 5 to 15 minutes.
