Lotus pose PADMASANA is a posture of lotus seat or lotus posture, a fitness exercise, for a deep meditation.
We could practice it anywhere like home yoga, anytime like morning yoga or yoga for bedtime.
The difficulty is that one should cross both legs in the same level on the floor and one should relax the muscles of the legs, hip and also not to hurt both knees.
These are methods of Vikudo – Yoga Vikudo, in the group of Basic Yoga Poses exercises – Yoga VBs.
Meaning:
– Padma means “lotus flower”
The posture is so named because the legs look like the petals of the lotus flower.
Benefits:
– Eliminate fatigue after strenuous play, spot activity or strenuous physical work
– Correct body attitude
– Relax the muscles generally
– Soften the lower limbs.
– Increase blood circulation in the abdomen.
– Increase capacities.
– Help all internal organs to function without obstruction in a correct position.
– Relax the mind completely.
Warning
– If you are stiff at the hips, this posture is risky for the knees.
– If you suffer from a too low tension, stay only 3 minutes maximum in this posture.
